About EFAMP
Make it Happen!
The Eastern Florida Alliance of Media Producers (EFAMP) is a Florida-based community of filmmakers, actors, editors, writers, producers, cinematographers, and other media professionals and enthusiasts who believe the best way to grow is to create together.
We serve the region roughly bounded by Daytona Beach to the north, Orlando to the west, Melbourne and the Space Coast to the east, and Fort Pierce to the south.
EFAMP was initiated in April 2023 to capitalize on the development of practical Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, computer and camera hardware/software advancements, and virtual communications to provide unique opportunities for our members. We achieve this by sponsoring training seminars led by subject matter experts and conducting tailored field events that allow our members to practice newly acquired skills.
Advances in artificial intelligence, virtual production, cameras, editing systems, visual effects, and remote collaboration have made it possible for independent creators to accomplish more than ever before. EFAMP exists to help its members take advantage of those tools while strengthening the traditional production skills that remain essential to good filmmaking.
What We Do
Create Together
EFAMP develops and supports media projects that give members opportunities to work together in real production environments.
These include original EFAMP productions, member-led projects, associate productions, short films, promotional work, and selected commercial projects.
We look for projects that allow members to expand their experience, demonstrate their abilities, build portfolio material, and enjoy the process of making something worthwhile together.

Develop Skills
EFAMP emphasizes practical, hands-on learning.
Training may begin with a classroom or virtual session covering fundamentals, followed by workshops, field exercises, or production assignments where members can apply those skills in realistic conditions.
Programs may focus on areas such as acting, directing, cinematography, editing, sound, writing, producing, visual effects, artificial intelligence, and other aspects of modern media production.
Our objective is not simply to teach concepts, but to give members opportunities to use them.
Explore New Production Tools
Film and media production are changing rapidly.
EFAMP actively explores emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, virtual production, advanced post-production tools, and new approaches to independent filmmaking.
We view technology as a way to expand creative possibilities—not as a replacement for storytelling, craftsmanship, or collaboration.
Our Community
EFAMP brings together people with different levels of experience.
Some members are established professionals. Others are developing new skills, entering the industry, changing disciplines, or simply looking for opportunities to create.
What matters most is a willingness to participate, collaborate, learn, and contribute.
We want EFAMP to be a place where people can meet collaborators, develop their abilities, experiment with ideas, and find opportunities they might not be able to create alone.
Meetings
EFAMP meetings are held at the Satellite Beach Schechter Center, 1089 South Patrick Drive, Satellite Beach, Florida.
Meetings are open to the public, including people who are considering membership.

Membership
Membership is intended for people who want to participate in the EFAMP community rather than simply observe it.
Active members receive priority consideration for casting, crew positions, training programs, workshops, and other production opportunities.
Whether you are an experienced professional or someone working to develop new skills, EFAMP offers opportunities to collaborate with other creators and become involved in actual productions.
If you want to improve your craft, meet other people who take media production seriously, experiment with new ideas, and make things together, we invite you to become part of EFAMP.
Members may come from different disciplines and experience levels—actors, filmmakers, editors, writers, producers, cinematographers, sound professionals, visual-effects artists, AI filmmakers, and others—but the common expectation is that members contribute to the community while developing their own skills and experience.

These projects allow members to develop practical experience in realistic production environments.
Skills Development
EFAMP provides opportunities to strengthen both traditional and emerging production skills.

Whenever practical, training is followed by hands-on application so members can use what they have learned.

EFAMP gives members opportunities to build working relationships with other creators in the region.
These relationships can lead to collaborations inside EFAMP as well as independent projects, professional opportunities, and long-term creative partnerships.
The objective is not simply to exchange contact information, but to work together and learn what each person can contribute to a production.
Portfolio and Experience Development
Participation in EFAMP projects can help members build:

Members may also have opportunities to work outside their normal discipline and develop additional production skills.
Access to Emerging Technology
EFAMP actively explores new filmmaking and media-production technologies, including artificial intelligence, virtual production, advanced post-production workflows, and other tools that can expand what independent creators are able to accomplish.
Members can gain exposure to these technologies while continuing to develop the traditional creative and technical skills required for effective filmmaking.
Expected Participation
EFAMP membership is based on participation.
Members are encouraged to attend meetings, training sessions, productions, and other activities whenever their schedules allow.
Active participation may include:
- Attending meetings and events
- Volunteering for productions
- Auditioning for roles
- Serving in crew positions
- Participating in workshops and training
- Helping other members develop their skills
- Sharing relevant knowledge or experience
- Supporting EFAMP projects
- Contributing to a professional and collaborative production environment
No member is expected to participate in every activity. However, members who remain actively involved are generally given greater consideration when limited opportunities become available.
Professional Conduct
Productions depend on reliability.
Members who accept a role, crew position, or production responsibility are expected to treat that commitment seriously. This includes being prepared, communicating when problems arise, respecting call times and deadlines, and working constructively with other participants.
EFAMP encourages experimentation and learning, and members are not expected to know everything. They are expected to be dependable, respectful, willing to learn, and willing to contribute.
A Community Built Around Contribution
EFAMP is designed to create opportunities that are difficult for individuals to create alone.
The organization provides a framework in which members can learn from one another, develop projects, gain production experience, test new technologies, and build relationships with other people who want to make films and media.
The more members contribute to that community, the stronger those opportunities become for everyone.
